Set during the Second Continental Congress, 1776 follows John Adams as he works to convince the delegates to vote for independence from Great Britain. Alongside Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and a divided Congress, Adams must face debate, compromise, and the enormous responsibility of helping create a new country.
